Once in a while, maybe twice a month, I have the privilege of taking a long luxurious bath. I pour a glass of wine, light a few candles, lock the door, and tell the Husband and my kids not to bother me unless someone is bleeding!

Last night, I had been especially looking forward to my “bathtime”, because I had received a gift from a girlfriend of LaLicious Coffee Bean Sugar Souffle Body Scrub. She sent this to me a couple of weeks ago, and the second I unwrapped it, unscrewed the top and smelled it, I was in decadent coconut, coffee, chocolate heaven! I literally had to fight the urge to stick my finger in it and taste it, it smelled that good!

So, for two weeks, it has been sitting on my bathroom counter, pleading with me to take some “me” time… so I finally did last night, and let me tell you- this stuff is unbelievable!!! I’m not a real “body scrub” type of gal, I’m more of a bubbles in the tub kinda girl, but now I’m a convert! From the second I dug my fingertips into the sandy, sugary concoction, which reminded me of being on my honeymoon on the sand in the Cayman Islands- I could smell and feel the sweet, island flavors of coconut, cream, sugar, sun and sand! I slathered it onto my arms, and rubbed it into my roughened elbows, then rinsed it off, and felt this silky, satiny, not at all oily finish on my skin. All roughness or dryness was completely erased. Plus my skin smelled delicious even until the next morning! Another little tip and trick is that after you rinse off the scrub, emollients are left behind to soften your skin. If you decide to shave at this time, anything you shave will end up as smooth as the day you were born! It is the closest, silkiest shave I’ve ever experienced- just make sure you rinse off all of the little granules first!

This little piece of heaven smells so yummy, that I keep it on my desk, and when I’m in a funk, I just close my eyes and open the lid and take a whiff of paradise! Definitely a delicious treat to add to my beauty arsenal, and a wonderful gift to give to any Mama to give her an extra little nudge and remind her to take time for “me” time!
